How It Works

Five steps.
Every time.

The process does not change by service type. What changes is the content of the brief, not the structure of the process.

Work does not start without payment

Select your service using the package builder and pay via Stripe. You receive a Stripe receipt immediately. Work begins after the brief is returned, not after payment.

Receive the brief template

Receive the brief template

Tailored to the service ordered

Within one business day of payment I send a brief template. It is specific to the service: a web copy brief looks different from an article brief. The template is structured so it takes 15 to 25 minutes to complete. It covers: audience, message, tone, objectives, proof points, and competitive context. A completed brief is the most valuable input to any copy project.

Research

Research

Evidence before writing

After receiving the completed brief, I review your existing materials, the competitive landscape, and any sector context relevant to the project. For articles, this includes reviewing what has already been published on the topic. For product descriptions, this includes reviewing competitor product pages. For sales letters, this includes reviewing equivalent offers in the market. The research shapes the copy before a word is written.

First draft

First draft

Delivered within the confirmed timeline

The first draft is delivered within the timeline confirmed in the brief. The timeline is confirmed per project and varies by service. Delivery timelines are shown on each service page. All drafts are delivered via shared Google Doc with commenting enabled, so you can annotate directly before the revision round.

Revision & delivery

Revision & delivery

One structured round included

One revision round is included with all services. A revision round addresses accuracy to the brief: points the draft missed, information that was incomplete in the brief but is now clear, or structural adjustments required. A revision is not an opportunity to change the brief direction. New direction is a new project. Revisions are returned within 2 business days of receiving notes. The final file is delivered digitally in your preferred format.
